Thorsman floor boxes type UFB can give you precisely the functions that the installation needs. They are installed in installation floors, cavity floors and in battened joisted or cast concrete floors. Thorsman floor boxes are among the most spacious on the market. They come in several sizes, both rectangular and round. The round ones are also suitable for retro-fitting in floors that can be bored out. The floor boxes can accommodate a large number of outlets and connections. Each outlet and/or connection is mounted individually in installation front F80™, regardless of adjacent service content. The space under the cover is large enough to take low-current transformers, IBM connectors and baluns. The cover can easily be oriented different ways so that the cable outlet is correctly positioned relative to the equipment to be connected. This reduces the risk of problems caused by over-tight bending radii. The covers of the square and round boxes can be mounted in four orientations and those of the rectangular boxes in two. The cover is clad with the same material as the rest of the floor. Floor box frames are available in various colours. Floor boxes can also be supplied customised and pre-installed , i.e. equipped with socket outlets and connections for electric power, telecoms and data in accordance with your specification and fitted with connecting cables, ready to be plugged in. Every floor box is given a unique serial number and undergoes function testing before dispatch. This means that we can give a ten-year warranty on the electrical connections. Content, frame colour, etc, are specified in the computer-based planning program PSA-PC .
